Camino de Santiago Photo of the Week – November 11, 2012
This week’s photo was taken from a sign on the wall of the pilgrim’s office in Santiago de Compostela. The text is a perfect fit for the woman who took it, an American spending a year backpacking the world alone and blogging about it, including stops in India, Thailand, Ireland, Turkey, and, of course, Spain. “One Bag. One World. One Journey.”
Her About Me page for the blog of her trip has the following quote and it was the deciding factor in picking between this image and this one. The quote that inspired her trip and hung on her office wall for a decade reads: ““When you die, God and the Angels will hold you accountable for all the pleasures you were allowed in life that you denied yourself.”
Now Is When.
